Two weeks in a row, huh? Not bad, right? XP
This is seriously one of my absolute favorite strips to-date… For one thing, it introduces a concept I’ve wanted to bring to Sticky Floors for, like, forever: Wesley, as “Dr. Feelgood,” imparting to you – our loyal readership – priceless, sound and safe sexual advice. ;) That’s right – we’re educational.
Also, I love that it wasn’t written by me. Seriously, my favorite strips from my own webcomic are always those that I didn’t do a bit of writing on. They’re funnier (No, seriously. They are, you can admit it freely without hurting my feelings.) and they’re a whole hell-of-a-lot more fun to draw. I think it’s just part of how my brain works – my whole career as a freelancer, I’ve always drawn for other people… I think I’ve just been conditioned now – like it’s how I’m most comfortable holding my pencil, at the word and whim of my employer/writer.
Alotta’ people don’t know this – in fact, you only would if you read the rants, which I have doubts that you do ‘cause they’re never posted on-time with the strip and I’ve had to say this more than once, anyway… =P But Sticky Floors was originally written by a high school chum of mine, Jesse Barksdale, back when we were seniors. (An astounding four years ago, by the way. Holy nuts, all my old classmates have been graduating college the last couple months.) Jesse wrote the first ten comic strips of the series, in fact – which I re-drew again in 2006 and then launched the whole shebang here on Snafu. Good times!
