A one-panel gag, I know. =P But it was in the original Sticky Floors run two years ago, and I didn't have the heart to remove it. (And in fact, updated it a bit.) Besides, it gives a much deserved tip of the hat to Jesse Barksdale, who tends not to get the props he deserves 'cause of his aloofness from the comic these days.
See, two years ago, Jesse and I - fresh outta' high-school and ready to take the world by storm - crapped together a webcomic called "Sticky Floors." It started simple enough - two chaps in a bar, where everybody but the reader knows your name. (Seriously, I don't think we'd named anyone except for Wesley at that time.) It didn't last long - Jes went off to college, I went off to travel. The comic got canned. Except for the, uh... Seven or eight additional comics done in the year post-Jesse, which maintained an update schedule of "Whenever the fuck I feel like it."
Two years after the start, Dave gets me drugged and I say "Lemme' do'd a webbed-comic, biatch." And here we are today. =)
For those morbidly curious as to what the original Barksdale+Herms Sticky Floors run was like, you can check out a "Then and Now" series of the comic on Deviant Art. It only updates once per week, so it's a bit behind where we are now...
