...But goddamn is it good to have a new strip up.
Right, so, in case nobody noticed – but judging by my reader-mail, you did – Sticky Floors has regrettably been on the unofficial, unannounced backburner since the year started. Six months of no-updates (and no formal explanation) is astoundingly uncouth of me and I sincerely apologize. For those that follow my shenanigans outside this webcomic and the Snafu-verse, you know that things have been ridiculously busy for me this year…
…Partly in my personal life – after all, I’m getting’ married! =D And you guys are the nicest and most darling people on the world-wide-web, by the way. Seriously! I know I’ve been as neglectful of my reader mail as I have this comic strip, but every congratulations e-Mail was heartwarmingly awesome of you guys. Thank you! =)
…And mostly in my professional life. While Colin, Wes and company have sat in unintentional hiatus for the half-year, I’ve been busy regularly illustrating the adventures of everyone’s favorite blue blur Sonic the Hedgehog, published monthly by Archie Comics! =D (I know. How I came to be employed by the most wholesome comic book company in America will forever be a mystery to us all.)
I’ve also been attached to an as of yet unannounced – and insanely awesome – video game project which I will gush to you guys about when the time is right. Suffice to say, it’s eaten up both my free-time and work time. =O
Not to mention, I also attended the Hasbro freelancer fair at their corporate headquarters a couple days ago! That’s right. Hasbro. Optimus fucking Prime, bitches. How fucking cool is that?? Uber-cool would be the correct answer. But you know what’s cooler? Being paid to draw Transformers for Hasbro. =D
On top of everything, I’ve been traveling around the good ol’ United States to various anime and comic book conventions.
So to say “Things have been busy,” is possibly the nicest way to describe the cluster-fuck that is my day-planner. ;P
So I’m not making any promises. ‘Cause honest to god, you guys don’t deserve for me to piss on your hopes-and-dreams of a regularly updated Sticky Floors anymore. And I’m not putting the nail-in-the-coffin, either. If anything, I’m dragging the corpse back outta’ the pit for some necrophilia action!
Here’s to hoping to visit with Colin, Wes, and the rest of the crew a li’l more often in the months to come. Thanks for your patience. Back to business-as-usual. =P
